Study aid only. GetDMVReady is an independent study website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL) or any government agency.

• The official Washington Driver Guide and DOL website are the only authoritative sources of Washington traffic law and testing requirements. If anything here differs from them, the official sources apply. Laws and test content can change.
• Our questions are original practice items. They are not the questions on the DOL knowledge test, and practice scores do not predict your result.
• Nothing on this site is legal advice. Do not use it while driving.
• The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the site, including a failed test or a traffic violation.
• Quotations from the Washington Driver Guide are short excerpts used to show the source of each answer, with a link to the official document. Question text, explanations and diagrams are © GetDMVReady; do not copy the question bank in bulk.
• Accounts. You must be 13 or older to create an account. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service (for example automated scraping of the question bank or attempts to get around usage limits).
• Free use and limits. Lessons and topic pages are free. Without an account you can use the free starter practice set; a free account includes the allowance shown on the pricing page. One free account per person: creating extra accounts to get around limits is not allowed. We may change free allowances; changes never reduce a pass you already bought.
• Passes. A pass is a one-time payment for unlimited use for the stated period (24 hours, 7 days or 30 days from purchase), for the Washington car knowledge test. It does not renew automatically. Prices are in US dollars; applicable sales tax is shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not see or store your card number. A pass is for one person and may not be shared or resold.
• Minors. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must make any purchase and agrees to these terms on your behalf.
• Refunds. See the refund policy (7-day full refund, no questions asked).
• Voluntary contributions, if offered, are payments to support the site. They do not buy access, a test result or any service from DOL.
• Ads, if shown, are provided by third parties and are not endorsements.
• We may update these terms; the date below shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA.
